I also don't understand why we must have hair on our legs. Doesn't serve any biological purpose right? My mum used to bluff me that hairy legs are sexy because she didn't want me to shave my legs. But I knew she was just lying. She also told me not to pluck my eyebrows / wear contact lens / put on makeup...because it's "bad" for me.
Luckily I didn't listen to her. I'm a rebel! Hahahahaa.
Yup, anyway since I got fine hairs on my face, I thought I could try face threading. I mean, why not right?? Friends tried before and I kept seeing people do it.
So I went to my favourite heartland - Toa Payoh, into this shop that is run by China ladies.
This is the exact same picture used in the shop.
Looks so spa-like and relaxing right?
ARGH NO LOR!!!!!!!!!
I was asked to sit back and close my eyes. Then the next thing I knew was P.A.I.N. around my eyebrows where she first started.
The purest of pain, I tell you.
Can I move or squirm? Obviously not, unless I want my eyebrows to be ripped off. When she got to my cheeks, I was tearing and I can feel myself perspire. Wah lao, it's damn painful!!!
How come in all the pictures I saw, everyone looked so tranquil and not-in-pain???

In Taipei. See, so steady lah. Like, it's an everyday painless thing.

This one, in Los Angeles. And they are both smiling!
But so pain for me!! More painful than brazilian wax ok!
Sure, my skin felt really soft and smooth after my ordeal but I think my skin is sensitive to the pain because I'm having spots on my face now. :(
Won't go again for face threading. It's a tortue!
